Christian Davis-Smith was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose world revolved around his family. On August 18, 2026, Christian passed away at 34 after a sudden and aggressive battle with Stage 4 renal medullary carcinoma, a rare form of kidney cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Ariannah, their four-year-old son Cameron, and their baby boy due this December. Christian and Ariannah met in Atlanta during their senior year of college in 2013 as a Morehouse and Spelman couple. They married on August 8, 2020, built a life together in Arizona, and welcomed Cameron, who was Christian’s pride and joy.

Ariannah is now pregnant with their second son, due this December. Christian was an intentional and loving father who gave Cameron structure, taught him values and integrity, and took immense pride in watching him grow. He brought that same devotion to his marriage, always striving to become a better husband, father, provider, and person. He worked as a manager at Capital One, was completing his MBA, and was pursuing the next step in his career because creating security and opportunity for his family meant everything to him.

Just days after his birthday, on July 11, Christian was diagnosed with Stage 4 RMC. Doctors found a mass on his kidney and signs that the cancer had already spread. While treatment was being planned, Christian fought to remain strong enough to begin, but the cancer progressed faster than anyone could have imagined. In August, his breathing worsened, leading to hospitalization. After briefly returning home, he was rushed back to the hospital and admitted to the ICU. Within days, the cancer had spread dramatically throughout his body, and Christian never had the opportunity to begin treatment. Surrounded by family and friends, he passed away peacefully. His death followed an already devastating year.

Earlier this year, Christian lost his younger brother, Hunter, and soon afterward, his beloved dog, Zoya. In just a few months, his family has endured unimaginable loss.

Now Ariannah is facing life without the person who spent his adulthood protecting and providing for their family. Although they both worked, Christian was the primary provider and managed the mortgage, bills, insurance, and many of their household expenses. Ariannah is grieving her husband while raising Cameron and preparing for the birth of their second child. As a therapist, she spends her life helping others through difficult moments, and now she needs time to grieve, care for Cameron, prepare for delivery, and begin rebuilding their lives. This fundraiser is to give Ariannah and the boys financial stability and breathing room in the months ahead. Funds will help cover the mortgage, household bills, groceries, childcare, pregnancy and birth-related medical expenses, memorial and medical costs, baby needs, and lost income while Ariannah takes time away from work.

Christian was the friend who checked on everyone else. He was tall, lanky, goofy, confident, loved video games and anime, listened to music most people had never heard of, and was completely comfortable being himself. Above all, he was a husband and father who loved his family more than anything. If you are able to contribute, any amount will help support Ariannah, Cameron, and their baby boy during this extraordinarily difficult time.

If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser with your family, friends, coworkers, alumni networks, and community. Every share extends Christian’s circle of support. Now it is our turn to help take care of them.

Your contribution is 100% tax-deductible.
