A Race Against Time: Help Lito Sousa Fight for a Chance

Imagine being told that a rare disease is rapidly taking away your ability to move — while you remain fully aware of everything happening around you.

This is the reality facing Lito Sousa, a pilot and content creator who was diagnosed with the rare Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rapidly progressive neurodegenerative condition for which there is currently no established cure.

But Lito has not given up.

In the video, Lito makes a heartfelt appeal for help in reaching researchers and institutions that may be able to provide access to experimental studies and potential treatments. Among the research mentioned are initiatives investigating new approaches to targeting prion-related disease, including ION717 and the PRiSM study.

This is more than a search for treatment. It is a race against time.
