Give Kim More Time With The Ones She Loves
A devoted mum, wife, and lifelong helper now needs the help she always gave so freely

We're close to reaching the goal—help Kim Oakhill win this battle!
Kim has always been the one showing up for everyone else. As a Principal Clinical Scientist at Cambridge University Hospitals, she spent her career helping others live healthier lives. In her free time, she gave even more — volunteering for England Korfball, managing national youth teams, coaching at Ely Vikings, and quietly supporting young athletes chasing their dreams. If you needed her, she was there.
Now Kim needs us. In July 2025, she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer — despite never smoking a day in her life. The cancer is advanced and inoperable. A rare genetic mutation means the one treatment most likely to give her more time isn't available through the NHS. Her only option now is private treatment, and that means funding it herself.
Kim is a mum to three children — Alex, Josie, and Sam. She's a wife to Nick, who recently underwent open heart surgery himself. She is the steady hand in her family, and right now, that family needs her to have more time. Time to keep being their mum. Time to stand beside Nick. Time to make a few more memories together.
Kim never asked for anything back when she helped others. Now we're asking for you. Whatever you can give — big or small — brings her closer to the treatment that could give her more time with the people she loves. Please donate today.
